Just in time for their upcoming tour, Chris Brown and Trey Songz have collaborated to bring us a few remixes of some popular summer hits.
Fresh after the releases of Trey’s album “Trigga”, and Chris Brown’s album “X”, the two front-runners of the R&B game have come together to remix Schoolboy Q’s “Studio”, TeeFLii’s “24 hours”, ILoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday”, and Snootie Wild’s “Made Me”.
It takes a while to get used to the two of their distinct voices on the same track, but a few of these songs seem as if they were meant for them to sing over, most notably “Tuesday”. Surprisingly, “Made Me” is probably the best of the 4 songs, which is weird considering the original has the least amount of R&B influences of the 4.
Unfortunately, the songs leave a bit to be desired. The songs are all decent, but being that it’s Chris Brown AND Trey Songz, they don’t really live up to expectations. I can’t really picture these songs getting more radio play than their originals, which is a bit disappointing considering most people would listen to Breezy and Trey over Snootie Wild and TeeFLii pretty much any day of the week.
